Warranty & Servicing Explained by Year

Your scoreboard’s warranty and service coverage change slightly over time depending on whether you choose to take out a Service Plan.
Here’s how it works year by year — so you know exactly what’s covered and when.

Warranty & Servicing Table

🟥 Year 2 – Without a Service Plan.

During the first 12 months after installation or delivery, your scoreboard is covered by a comprehensive full warranty.

Includes:

  • All parts, components, and LED digits.

  • Labour and callout costs for any repair or replacement.

  • Telephone and email support.

Cost to you: £0.

This means complete peace of mind — if something goes wrong in the first year, everything is handled at no cost to you.

🟩 Year 2 – With a Service Plan.

If you choose to take out a Service Plan before or during your second year, all coverage remains in place just as it was in year 1.

Includes:

  • All parts and labour.

  • Annual service visit (inspection, cleaning, resealing, report).

  • Priority callout response.

Cost to you: £0 (beyond your service plan fee).

Taking out a service plan effectively extends your full warranty coverage into the second year — no additional charges.

🟥 Year 3 and Beyond – Without a Service Plan.

After year 2, standard warranty coverage ends for most components.
The only continuing coverage is the extended 5-year parts-only warranty for LED digits (excluding water damage).
All other labour, callout, and replacement parts are chargeable.

What’s covered:

  • LED digits (parts only) up to end of year 5.

What’s not covered:

  • Labour and callout fees.

  • Other electronic components or materials.

  • Annual servicing.

Typical costs:

  • Parts: quoted individually (price list provided before works).

Callout: £495 + VAT standard / £995 + VAT complex.

After year 2, the scoreboard is considered out of warranty unless you hold an active Service Plan.

🟩 Year 3 and Beyond – With a Service Plan.

If you have an active Service Plan, your coverage remains fully comprehensive regardless of the scoreboard’s age.

Includes:

  • All parts and labour (except water damage).

  • Annual service visit and performance report.

  • Priority callouts and fast response.

Cost to you: £0 (beyond your service plan fee).

As long as your service plan remains active, you’ll never face unexpected callout or repair bills — even years after installation.

The Value of a Service Plan

Taking out a Service Plan after your first year ensures your scoreboard continues to be fully supported — both parts and labour.
Without it, while parts are still covered for several years, any technician visits, repairs, or replacements will incur callout charges.

A Service Plan:

  • Saves money on unexpected repairs.

  • Guarantees priority response.

  • Extends equipment life.

  • Keeps your scoreboard in perfect working condition.
