Brackley Town Football Club needed a new LED video scoreboard to enhance their matchday experience and inspire their team during the crucial promotion run. The project had to be completed despite unpredictable weather conditions.
Results
The new LED video scoreboard was fully installed and operational in time for the Christmas fixture schedule. Brackley Town went on to win 20 of their final 28 league matches, ultimately securing promotion to the National League for the first time in their history.

About Brackley Town F.C.
Founded in 1890, Brackley Town Football Club has grown from a small local team into one of the most respected sides in non-league football. Based at St. James’ Park in Northamptonshire, the club has steadily climbed the football pyramid over the past few decades, becoming a mainstay in the National League North.
The Challenge
Brackley Town Football Club found themselves at a defining point in their push for promotion. A long-held ambition to install an LED video screen at their ground was finally within reach, thanks to the Club’s tireless fundraising efforts. The timing couldn’t have been better, the new screen promised to transform the matchday experience and inject fresh energy into the team and supporters alike.
However, the project came with significant challenges. The installation had to be completed on a tight schedule, squeezed between a packed winter fixture list and unpredictable weather. With a high-profile FA Cup tie against League One side Southport on the horizon, and the critical Christmas fixtures fast approaching, everything needed to be in place to ensure maximum impact during one of the most important periods of the season.
The Solution
Brackley Town FC turned to us at Durant Sports, trusted for our expertise in sports equipment and scoreboard installations. Following an initial site visit and careful planning, we got to work on the installation. Our team pushed through challenging weather conditions, building the steel base, constructing the frame, and fitting the high-resolution screen panels with precision. We integrated the electrics and custom graphics seamlessly, ensuring everything was fully operational on schedule. The result wasn’t just a technical upgrade, the new scoreboard elevated the entire matchday atmosphere and seemed to give the team a real psychological boost when it mattered most.
The Results
The impact of the new LED video scoreboard was both immediate and unforgettable. Brackley Town FC went on an incredible run, winning 20 of their final 28 league games. Entering the final day in second place, they sealed the championship in style with a dominant 5-0 win, earning a historic promotion to the National League.
The scoreboard quickly became more than just a matchday feature; it stood as a symbol of the club’s ambition, resilience, and progress. After years of heartbreak in the play-offs in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024 - Brackley Town finally completed their fairytale journey.
